breeder of a bull, who had raised and cared for him. Once grown, the
animal was sold for bullfighting. As he was in the ring being
hideously tortured for the amusement of the sick and mindless
spectators, he spied his beloved and trusted 'friend' in the crowd
and hoping for help and relief, ran to him. The kiss was all he got.
The perfidy was complete.</span></div>

Today is Good Friday. Christians believe Jesus was crucified today and they celebrate it through prayer. Others however believe that Good Friday is a perfect time to cast hexes or healing by casting out evil. All these super natural powers are said to be very strong during Good Friday.<br />

 If you are a tourist who watched the crucifixion you might want to consider going to the “Island of Fire”, which is Siquijor.<br />
<br />
That is the Island in the Philippines where you can find 2 kinds of witches good and bad.<br />

<b> Siquijor Witches:</b><br />
 The “<b>mambabarang</b>”  can inflict illness and death to enemies of their clients by casting an evil spell on them.

A “barang” is said to be a magic spell that causes beetles, roaches and other insects to mysteriously infiltrate and cause the stomach of the victim to swell and eventually burst.<br />
<br />
The “<b>mananambals</b> ”  folk healers, who are called upon to heal ailments and counter the evil spells cast on unfortunate people in a classic duel of good versus evil.<br />
<br />
The “Paktol” is a deadly hex cast with the aid of a spirit to cause the death of the victim.<br />
<br />
 All of these rituals are more effective when performed on a Good Friday of the Holy Week.<br />
<br />
<b> Mang Edong:</b><br />
In the Highest Mountain of Siquijor Mt. Bandilaan you can visit the man named Alberto Baroro (Mang Edol) a well known sorcery in that area. There is no other transportation in that area except habal habal (bike).<br />
<br />
 His house stands in the middle of a forest, surrounded by tall trees. In his garden are different herbal plants like tudlo kamay, managhoy, talirugok, and tambal. He uses their leaves and the roots in making concoctions, love potions, lucky charms, and pangontra or protection from a sorcerer’s spell. Mang edol has been doing this magic for over 40 years.<br />
<br />
 “Some of my clients come all the way from Dubai, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, America, and Cambodia,” Mang Edol said.

He handles land conflicts, marital infidelity, and rape victims who want to exact revenge.<br />
<br />
 However, he does not accept all the cases brought to him, except when you can prove that you are a victim of injustice.

Some of his clients want the most extreme penalty for their enemies, meaning death.

Clients pay to scare their enemies or inflict pain to teach them a lesson, he says, showing pictures of the persons he has cursed. You can pay 20,000 to 30,000 php or depending on your capability to pay. He has cursed so many people that he can no longer remember how many.

“When someone good dies I will ask the family for the skull. No one has said no to me yet.” 
I guess he uses the good man’s skull for his purpose.<br />

 -Photo of the person to be cursed (He can also use a lock of hair or piece of clothing but he prefers pictures)<br />

 He does the ritual every Friday at 12 noon, for 30 minutes. This ritual can be done in the house sometimes, or in a cemetery where he buries the picture of the person being cursed. He also  does the ritual in the Church where he seeks help from the saints.<br />
<br />
 He utters a prayer in Latin for more than two minutes. Lights the black candle and would place it inside a tin can. On a small sheet of paper, he will write the name of the person and place it inside the skull and burn the photo turning into ashes. After seven Fridays he will go to the cemetery to bury the name and picture of the one he cursed.<br />
<br />
Mang Edol said, “the victim will suffer from different serious diseases which cannot be treated by doctors. The person’s condition may get worse until he dies.”

His client sends a text message or calls to inform him about the fate of the victim.<br />
<br />
 The death spell, can be reversed if his client wishes it.

“I reverse the spell by digging the picture of the victim I buried in the cemetery. But I have to be informed of it immediately, because if the victim’s condition gets worse, it may be too late and I can no longer do anything to save him,” Mang Edol said.<br />
<br />
 According to some reports he got his power from an old woman who gave it to him. Others say his parents passed it to him.<br />

separate, impairing waterproofing and exposing the animal's sensitive
skin to extremes in temperature. This can result in hypothermia,
meaning the bird becomes cold, or hyperthermia, which results in
overheating. Instinctively, the bird tries to get the oil off its
feathers by preening, which results in the animal ingesting the oil
and causing severe damage to its internal organs. In this emergency
situation, the focus on preening overrides all other natural
behaviors, including evading predators and feeding, making the bird
vulnerable to secondary health problems such as severe weight loss,
anemia and dehydration. Many oil-soaked birds lose their buoyancy and
beach themselves in their attempt to escape the cold water.” </span></span></span></span>

Dindim the Magellanic penguin can hardly move when a local citizen
found him.   Pereira de Souza found the helpless creature in his
backyard which opens up onto Proveta Beach in Rio de Janeiro State,

behind Dindim's name. The grandson "could not properly pronounce
the word 'pinguim,' Portuguese for penguin," said the biologist
Krajewski, the toddler would pronounce it "Dindim."  So
they called the bird Dindim others said Jinjing.</span></span></span></span></div>

these penguins finish breeding and moulting, they migrate and spend

about sexual marriage caused a lot of international uproar. Many
people that used to say “I`m proud to be a Filipino” because of
Manny are now cursing him and consider him a disgrace. They think
that Manny's comments bring shame and they are condemning him now,
cursing and making fun about his children as well. Others, wish his
children will turn gay.</span><br />

asked if he was in favour of same sex marriage. He gave his opinion
that he was not in favour of same sex marriage.  Lately this month
2016, he was asked again the same question, he gave the same opinion
that he is against it, but with an add on that:</span><br />

“<span style="font-size: medium;">It’s just common
sense. Have you seen any animal having male-to-male or
female-to-female relations? Animals are better, they know how to
distinguish male from female. If we approve male-on-male,
female-on-female, then man is worse than animals.”</span><br />

<span style="font-size: medium;">I think many people were
offended when he said that.  People were shocked.  He caused
international condemnation. His fellow Filipinos were the first ones
to sign the petition to Nike to drop Pacquiao from being its
endorser. It was granted soon after.  Aries Dela Cruz (petition
organizer) must be so ecstatic that his wish was granted by Nike to
drop Pacquioa. </span>

<span style="font-size: medium;">What Pacquiao said was
based on his personal opinion and his belief,  I would agree however
that it was quite harsh to compare the same sex marriage to animals
or worse than animals. He expressed his apology right
after he realized he was being insensitive.  His opinion was viewed
by others as barbaric.  </span>

<span style="font-size: medium;">Side ways:  In 2009,
Caroline Michelle "Carrie" Prejean Boller (Miss California
USA). During the Miss USA pageant,  Perez Hilton asked if she
believed that every U.S. state should legalize same same marriage,
her response was:</span><br />

“<span style="font-size: medium;">Well, I think it's great
that Americans are able to choose one way or the other. We live in a
land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage.
And, you know what, in my country, in my family, I think that, I
believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, no offense
to anybody out there. But that’s how I was raised and I believe
that it should be between a man and a woman.”</span><br />

<span style="font-size: medium;">Many were not happy with
her answer including of course Perez Hilton. He called her  “dumb
bitch” and considered her answer awful.</span><br />

again about his topic when people already knew he is against same sex
marriage.  Now he was caught off guard with his respond. Many were
not happy about it.  Some showed some scientific evidence that there
are animals engaged in homosexual evidence different from what Manny
thinks.  Some continue to call Manny an idiot and uneducated. </span>

<span style="font-size: medium;">Manny as people know, has a
limited education. His dad left the family when he was a kid. He
worked all kinds of jobs to help out his mom Dionisia feed his
siblings. He worked so hard to get where he is now without trampling
others.  </span>

<span style="font-size: medium;">Manny made an insensitive
remarks about the LGBT community.  But nobody can deny that Manny is
a good guy. He helps anyone regardless of their sexual orientation. 
He donated millions to organizations that help the poor. He gave free
education to some students in his home town and recently built
thousand of homes for his homeless constituents out of his own
pocket. He promises to build more.  Manny knows the feeling of being
poor, homeless and hungry because he had been there before.  </span>

people who travelled from Sudan to Libya then to Italy as a refugee.

calmed her down.  The authorities wanted to make sure that Lola does
not have any contagious disease.  Lola will be checked and vaccinated
before she can be reunited with her human Sama in a migrant reception

not the cat would have been thrown into the sea to drown.</span></div>

15 senior officials were executed a few weeks ago for challenging Kim
Jong -un's authority.  Then it's the Defence Minister Hyon Yong-chol
turn.  He was executed for showing disloyalty to the “Supreme”
leader Kim Jong-un according to South Korea's spy agency.  Mr Hyon
had fallen asleep during an event attended by Kim Jong-un and had
failed to carry out the instructions.<br />

MP’s were told Mr Hyon was killed on 30 April by anti-aircraft
fire in front hundreds of spectators.  Poof, he's gone.<br />

<br />

Mr Hyon had been a general since 2010.  Mr. Hyon, was said to be
only appointed minister of the People's Armed Forces less than one
year ago, publicly disagreed with the young dictator.<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />

Mr Kim purged and executed his once-powerful uncle for treachery
in 2013. Kim's uncle, Chang Song-thaek - once the country's
second-most powerful figure. The uncle was accused of stealing state
funds and plotting to overthrow Mr. Kim. He was arrested in December
in front of a party meeting, found guilty of treason and immediately
executed.<br />

Hong Kong-based pro-Beijing newspaper Wen Wei Po reported that
Jang and his five closest aides were set upon by 120 hunting hounds
which had been starved for five days.<br />

<br />

Kim and his brother Kim Jong Chol supervised the one-hour ordeal
along with 300 other officials, according to Wen Wei Po. The
newspaper added that Jang and other aides were "completely eaten
up."<br />

<br />

Among the 15 officials executed in the past weeks were two vice
ministers who had challenged Mr Kim over his policies and members of
an orchestra, according to the South's National Intelligence Agency
(NIS).<br />

watch.  One of the 12 people that were executed was a singer Hyon
Song-wol, the ex lover of Kim Jong-un.

was carrying tablets – which he swallowed – containing goat horn
powder for some Nigerian friends in Pakistan. He had no translator
during his trial, and there were rumours that a bribe was sought to

raised her as a Christian. She was given 3 days to renounce her
Christianity but she refused.  For Marrying a Christian man
(adultery) she was sentenced to 100 lashes. For apostasy (change of
religion), she was sentenced to death. </span>

Reginald Chua hijacked Airbus 330 flight PR812</b>, en route from Davao City in the southern <b>Philippines to the capital Manila. </b><br />

There were two different stories reported about Agusto's reasoning for hijacking the plane. The first account was told by his own family. The family said that the <b>killing of Agusto’s father must have drove him to hijack the plane because he wanted to move his family away from the region after his father was killed back in 1993</b> (no one was caught for the killing of his dad). But lack of money made it impossible to leave the region, his family thought that the money and his desire to be a skydiver caused him to hijack the plane. Another story was Agusto's marital problems. He was relating a desperate story during the hijack that his wife ran away with a police officer.<br />
<br />
The death of his dad and the running away of his wife with someone else must have been too much for him to handle, he snapped.<br />
<br />
On May 25, 2000, Agusto decided to hijacked an Airbus A330-301 when it was near landing. He demanded to put all the pasengers' valuables in a bag and said that the plane will go back to Davao. The pilot explained that there was not enough fuel to return. Augusto decided to open his knapsack with a homemade parachute in it. He never used a parachute before, so he asked the stewardess how to use it. The plane descend to 6,000 ft at his request so he could jump. Suddenly, Augusto chickened out and clung at the door of the plane. His other shoe and gun were on the plane, he was obviously confused what to do. While he clung at the door with all his loot, grenade with ski mask and swimming goggles on, the stewardess pushed him out. <br />
<br />
Midair, passengers saw Agusto struggling to cling onto his homemade parachute.<br />
<br />
All passengers 273 aboard and 13 crew landed safely, except Agusto the hijacker. After 3 days they found his dead body plunged in the mud.
